TTC HAD SHUT DOWN THE CITY TODAY!!!!

It was weird today eh, I get up and find out that I am basically trapped at home. I understand the reasoning behind the wildcat strike, its just by shutting down the TTC, this really disrupted the city. Just imagine all the money that was lost today by everyone who could not go to work, businesses must have lost serious money today.

Back to the reasoning, well people seem to be assaulting TTC workers because they do not want to pay a measley 25 cents more, my question to these people are just think if everyone did not pay the proper fare then where would that leave the TTC. It would leave the TTC with no other choice but to raise their fares even more.

A message to the damn Crazy Conservatives is please give me more to the TTC, its quite upsetting to see them not give enough money like is needed, I plead to George W Harper to please give some more damn money to the TTC!!!!!

WAKE UP CANADIANS!!!!!

Its really frustrating when I see that the damn Crazy Conservatives are up in the polls. Canadians need to realize that we cannot continue to support these crazy men who put innocent Canadian lives in danger. It was the liberals who put the troops in Afghanistan but we put them their in a non-combat role. As alot of people have stated in the past, innocent lives being lost are on the hands of Harper.

STOP SUPPORTING THE CONSERVATIVES!!!!!

R.I.P HEATHER CROWE!!!!!

Well, if you do not know who Heather Crowe is then you probably have not been watching TV the past few years. She is the poster lady for why people should not smoke around others, the poor lady was a waitress in the restaurant that she worked at in Ottawa.

She was simply working to earn a wage to support her daughter, but at the same time she was inhaling smoke at a 2nd hand rate. She had never smoked a day in her life, yet she did today and the people who smoked around her are probably still alive.

Simply, my message to people out their is quite frank. If you would like to pollute your lungs, please be considerate and do NOT smoke around others. I understand that we need to have cigaettes in our lives because we use it as a tobacco tax and many other uses for the government.

I just one to say one last thing, lets not let this again and please think of Heather Crowe when you decide to light up around people, please do not smoke around your children!!!!!

ANOTHER REASON WHY CONSERVATIVES SUCK!!!!

Environment Minister Rona Ambrose must resign her position as chair at Conference of the Parties (COP) and recall our delegates from Bonn due to her hidden efforts to sabotage the Kyoto Protocol, said Liberal Environment Critic Scott Brison.

"Not only should Canada's delegation be recalled, Ms. Ambrose must resign her position as chair at Conference of the Parties (COP) because of her covert attempts to sabotage the development of a binding international consensus on global warming," said Mr. Brison.
"This is not only outrageous, it is dangerously duplicitous. Ms. Ambrose's actions risk irreparably damaging Canada's reputation at the United Nations and will compromise any progress at COP," he added.

Recent news reports have revealed that Ms. Ambrose has not only betrayed the responsibilities entrusted to her by Canadians and the international community, but she may have also breeched International Convention by instructing Canada's delegation in Bonn to contravene aspects of the Kyoto Protocol which are now international law.

In a private directive to Canadian negotiators obtained by the Globe and Mail, Ms. Ambrose instructs her delegation that Canada no longer "support[s] a continuation of the status quo beyond 2012" and wants a new agreement that "must include the USA and all major developing country emitters and allow for different types of commitments based on national circumstances." In effect, Ms. Ambrose now wants Canada to gut Kyoto's legally-binding targets in favour of the current U.S. Administration's position of voluntary, non-binding targets.

The Harper government has made no secret of its desire to scrap Canada’s commitments to the Kyoto Protocol. Early last week, the Prime Minister decided to ignore the results of a vote calling on the government to respect Kyoto commitments. All opposition parties, recognizing the fight against climate change was not only necessary but crucial, passed the motion by a vote of 169-125. But when asked if his government would respect Parliament’s decision, Prime Minister Stephen Harper dismissed the motion entirely because it was not “an action plan.”

The Prime Minister instead announced that his government plans to turn its back on its international obligations under Kyoto by signing on to the Asia Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate (AP6) - a plan with no fixed emission targets or mandatory commitments. This confirms Mr. Harper's preference to follow a weak U.S.-led plan to ship clean technology overseas instead of reducing pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in Canada.
Ms. Ambrose has also come under fire from environmentalists who have called on her to resign as chair of the UN negotiations.

“In the interest of Canadians and the international community, the Harper government must immediately resign from the Presidency of the Kyoto process,” said Steven Guilbeault of Greenpeace Canada. “This government is failing to protect Canadians from the real and urgent impacts of climate change: heat waves in our cities; drought in our prairies; sea level rise on our coasts and cultural genocide of our Arctic peoples. They have no right and no credibility to be chairing a process they want to destroy.”

Ms. Ambrose’s actions have betrayed 15 years of leadership by successive Canadian governments to develop a legally-binding international consensus on global warming. With six years remaining to meet our objectives under Kyoto, it is simply unconscionable for the Conservatives to simply throw their hands in the air and say it can’t be done.
Canada has an obligation to future generations and to all citizens of this planet to make climate change a priority. The fight against global warming is too important to be subject to the partisan politics of a minority government desperate to score political points with its southern neighbours.

BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS HARPER!!!!!

R.I.P Capt. Nichola Goddard, this is on your hands Harper. We have had 17 deaths since the Conservatives have taken over. The vote that took place tonight was not right, Harper did the vote just a day before the Australian head would be in Canada, this is a political game that Harper is playing.

We should not play political games with our troops who are under fire in Khandr. I was deeply disappointed to see the amount of Liberals that had voted for the extension of 2 years as it was a free vote.

I was rather shocked to see any Liberals vote for an extension here as the mission since the damn Conservatives have taken government has changed dramatically since the Liberals lost power. It was nice before as we as the Canadian troops were just peacekeeping, then Harper takes over and suddenly we are just like Harpers brother. I am deeply dismayed to see how Harper worded the vote, we should have a vote in house with regards to if the mission should change back to peacekeeping or not? I think that would be a better question to ask the MPs to vote on!!!!!

HOW SWEET IT IS!!!!!

Well, the Sens are now joining the Leafs in golfing. It seemed that everyone had chosen the Sens to win the Stanley Cup, including good old grapes (Don Cherry). I was saying from the start of the season that the Sens would once again choke in the play-offs and that is exactly what took place.

I know what Sens will say to Leafs fans, basically that the Leafs did not even make the play-offs, to that I say that the Leafs were predicted not to make it, the Sens were predicted to win it all and if they did not then this season would be a huge disappointment. Thats exactly what it was for the Sens this year, they simply just love to choke in the play-offs. This is without the Leafs making the post-season, the Sens did not have to face the Leafs and they still lost.

All I can say is CHOKE SENS CHOKE!!!!!!

Well, bring on all the hate responses from Sens fans, I welcome all comments as I really did write some stuff that would piss off a true Sens fan, so bring it on!!!!!

DAMN SENS...DAMN THEM!!!!!!

Well, it seems the Sens think they are like the Leafs, they will either have to emulate the Leafs or the Islanders because if they do not then they will be out of the play-offs, they won one game but remember it is one damn game for the damn Sens.

I say the Islanders or the Leafs because they are the only 2 teams in NHL history in the play-offs where a team has gone 3-0 and has come back to win the series. Please everyone in Leafs Nation cheer for the Sabres and wishing from all if they win then the Sens will choke in the play-offs.

LETS IMPEACH BUSH!!!!

Dear Americans:

Please listen to the pleas of the Democratic politicians and lets sweep the Demos into power. If they can take power of the house like is expected then it should be no problem to impeach Bush on his crazy reasons for going into Iraq. In November, my American friends, lets go back to the good old Liberal days and get rid of this damn Republican government.

TAKE THAT KOBE!!!

Not only did the Lakers lose game 7 to the Suns on Saturday but today Steve Nash was named MVP of the NBA for the second straight season. Woooooooooo hoooooooo. Steve Nash is amazing, watch out Clippers, and watch out as well damn Spurs!!!

Basketball journalists have named Canadian Steve Nash as the NBA's Most Valuable Player for the second time in as many seasons. The superstar from Victoria, B.C. is just the ninth player in league history to win the honour in consecutive years. The 32-year old point guard for the Phoenix Suns is widely acclaimed for his unselfish play and leadership ability.

He joins legends of the game like Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson -- the only other point guard to achieve the same feat -- and Michael Jordan.
"I have to admit it's a little bit uncomfortable to be singled out amongst all these great players two years in a row," said Nash at a news conference on Sunday.
"I have to pinch myself, I can't believe that I'm standing here today. I couldn't believe it last year."

However, he jokingly added: "But I'm not gonna give it back."
This season, Nash had career highs in scoring (18.8 points per game), rebounding (4.2), field-goal percentage (.512) and free-throw percentage (a league-leading .921). He also led the NBA in assists with 10.5 per game.
Nash raised his game despite playing without star forward Amare Stoudemire. He lost to an injury.

"A lot is made about me making my teammates better, but I believe that my teammates make me better too. I'm fortunate to play with great players and great people," Nash said.
He won his first MVP award last season after he directed the Suns to an NBA-best 62 victories.
Nash sparked a brilliant turnaround in Phoenix last season. He took a squad that struggled to a 29-53 record the previous season to a league-best 62-20. The Suns joined the 1979-80 Boston Celtics as the only teams in NBA history to win 60 games after losing 50.

The Suns' season continues. They defeated the L.A. Lakers in seven games, and will play the L.A. Clippers in round two starting Monday in Phoenix.

HARPER...LISTEN UP...POLLS ARE A TELLING FACTOR!!!

Well, it seems like what all is expected is coming true. Despite polls in April showing that Conservatives might be nearing a Conservative majority, they have indeed taken a step backwords. And while time goes by they will continue to FALL, the Liberals who held their LPCO AGM this week-end are on the rise once more as polls show. It seems that more people in Canada are opposing more deployment of troops to Afghanistan.

It is just like all warm hearted Liberals have been saying, watch out if Conservatives get into power because Harper will suck up to his buddy Bush and thats what is exactly taking place. The Softwood lumber deal sucked and went against what Harper said during the election in January. Its a shame but its what I always was saying.

A new poll suggests most Canadians now oppose sending troops to Afghanistan.
The poll, which was conducted by The Strategic Counsel for CTV and The Globe and Mail, found 54 per cent of Canadians are against the deployment of troops. Of those, 23 per cent are strongly opposed -- an increase of eight percentage points from the previous survey.

"That's the really interesting number," said Timothy Woolstencroft, managing partner for The Strategic Counsel.

"There is starting to be greater opposition to the Afghanistan initiative -- and this is a real source of weakness for the government."
The drop in support could partially be connected to Canadians' ambivalence toward the military's increasing role in Afghanistan, Woolstencroft told CTV.ca.

"It's probably been the most controversial part of the Conservatives' first 100 days in government, and Canadians are clearly more than ambivalent," Woolstencroft said.
Of all the provinces, Quebec is most opposed to sending troops to Afghanistan.
"This suggests that the (Bloc Quebecois) has a real opportunity to shift its position and oppose the war in Afghanistan," Woolstencroft said.

In Quebec, 70 per cent of those surveyed now oppose sending troops to Afghanistan, compared to 53 per cent in mid-March.
"Let's face it, Quebec has always been, historically, the least likely to believe in military intervention," Woolstencroft said.
Other areas were split on Canada's military presence in Afghanistan:
50 per cent in Ontario opposed sending troops there, with 42 per cent in support;
45 per cent in the West were in opposition, with 49 per cent in support; and
49 per cent in the rest of Canada were in opposition, with 44 per cent in support.
The Strategic Counsel conducted the poll on May 3 and 4, interviewing 1,000 Canadians just days after the Tory government released its first budget. The margin of error is 3.1 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.

The poll results also suggest overall Conservative support has slipped recently, despite a month that saw the government end the softwood labour dispute and unveil a budget that cuts the general sales tax.

When asked which political party's candidate they would vote for tomorrow, 35 per cent of Canadians said a Conservative candidate -- down four per cent from a poll released in April.
For other party candidates (with +/- change since April in brackets):
31 per cent said Liberal (+2);
16 per cent said NDP (+2);
10 per cent said Bloc Quebecois (-1); and
9 per cent said Green Party (+2).

However, the poll showed Conservative support in Quebec is at 30 per cent -- one percentage point up from the last poll, although with a sample size of 246 people, the margin of error for the province is 6.3 per cent.

In Ontario, where support for the Liberal party is at 42 per cent, Woolstencroft said the province has shown a general reluctance to embrace the new Conservative government.
"Clearly, Ontario remains a little wary of (Prime Minister Stephen Harper's) government, whereas Quebec is embracing it, wrapping Harper up in its arms," he said.
"I think this also partly reflects the state of the Liberals, who are in disarray in the province of Quebec, and that the federalist voters are essentially going to the Conservatives at this point in time."

Meanwhile, many surveyed were skeptical about the government's motivations behind the new budget, with 64 per cent saying the government sought to win a majority in the next election rather than act in the interests of Canadians.

HAHA...RAY EMERY SUCKS!!!!

The one who scored the OT winner, woooooo hooooooooo!!!!!!

Haha, the Sens lost. I was so happy when I found out that the Sens lost game one. I certainly hope that the Sabres can win game 2 which will take place on Monday. I will be cheering the Sabres on in full capacity on Monday night, I truly do not like the Sens and I hope that (god willing) they CHOKE once more. Woooooooooooo Hoooooooooo. GO SABRES GO!!!!!

RECAP OF FIRST ROUND EASTERN CONFERENCE

Firstly, another reason to hate Ottawa with regards to hockey is they stole the world junior tournament from Toronto. That sucks, I hate them for that, Ottawa cannot let Toronto just have one thing.

Moving on to a recap, basically all the teams that I cheered for in the Eastern Conference brackets lost except for the Devils. Regarding the next round, I will be cheering for the Devils to defeat the damn Hurricanes. Since I have two teams I dislike going against each other with the Sabres and the Sens, I will cheer for the Sabres and cheer against the damn Sens. Who knows if it will work but I just want the damn Sens OUT!!!!

CONSERVATIVES SCREW UP FIRST BUDGET!!!

Leader of the Official Opposition Bill Graham and Liberal Finance Critic John McCallum slammed the Conservative government’s first budget for failing to address the real needs of Canadian families, for abandoning fiscal responsibility and for failing to provide an economic vision for the future.

“Given the strong fiscal record the Conservatives inherited from the former Liberal government – the strongest since Confederation – it is outrageous that this government is raising income taxes for all Canadians, walking away from Kyoto and addressing climate change, cutting funding committed under the Kelowna Accord by 80 percent and excluding any vision for the future of Canada’s prosperity,” said Mr. Graham.

“The fiscal irresponsibility of this budget is completely unacceptable,” added Mr. McCallum. “The Harper government is throwing fiscal prudence out the window and spending savings from program cuts before they even have them in the bank.
“This approach will bring Canada dangerously close to deficit,” said Mr. McCallum. “This budget puts ideology before economics and policy and fails to provide a sound economic vision for the future.”

The budget:

FAILS to maintain fiscal responsibility – The Conservatives are bringing Canada perilously close to a deficit by eliminating fiscal prudence and spending budget cuts before they’re made.

FAILS to provide real tax relief for low- and middle-income Canadians – The Conservatives are hiking income taxes, increasing the basic personal amount by $200 and increasing to 15.5 percent the rate for the lowest tax bracket. Eliminating Liberal income tax cuts in favour of a 1 per cent GST cut has been panned by every serious economist in the country as a plan that will benefit higher income Canadians at the expense of the more needy.

FAILS to address the issue of climate change – Where the rest of the world is moving more and more towards investments and cooperative efforts to reduce climate change, this government has eliminated climate change programs and is getting set to pull out of the Kyoto Accord. The Conservatives’ transit tax credit is costly and ineffective and the Conservatives intend to pay for it by slashing $2 billion in existing climate change programs.

FAILS to provide a real child care choice for parents – As if $20 a week for child care isn’t bad enough, we now see that to help pay for the Conservatives’ child care “program,” low-income parents will be losing the young-child supplement of the Canada Child Tax Benefit, which was due to increase to $249 a year this July. Rather than honouring the Liberal child care agreements – something that the majority of provinces, parents and advocacy groups have demanded – this government insists on forging ahead with a nebulous plan that will delay the creation of new child care spaces.

FAILS to address the very pressing needs of Canada’s Aboriginal peoples – Rather than honouring the historic Kelowna Agreement signed last November, which would substantially improve the lives of our First Nations people, the Conservative government has chosen to ignore them, cutting planned funding by 80 percent, from $5.3 billion to just over $1 billion.

FAILS to make any significant investments in education and innovation – The Liberal government had a very concrete vision for the future that would have helped move this country forward and put us at the forefront of competitiveness and knowledge and innovation. This lackluster and visionless budget contains virtually nothing in this regard. For example our last fiscal update would have provided $2.5 billion for university research. The Conservative budget provides $200 million – less than one-tenth our commitment.

“If the Conservatives continue down this road, they will undo all of the work that we did to put Canada at the head of the G-7. And in the end, only the wealthy will benefit, while those most in need will be left behind,” said Mr. Graham.

“This is the hallmark of a Conservative government – do what it takes to win votes rather than do what is best for the country,” added Mr. Graham.

OILERS WIN...WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

The Oilers have pulled off a great upset in what may have been Stevie Yzermans last game in the NHL. He has had a historic career and will be in the hall of fame one day, for now his future is unknown though. I would like to just congratulate the Oilers who have defeated the best team in hockey this year with regards to points. The best team remaining regarding points is Ottawa but believe you me, I do not think they are that good. I feel the Oilers and Flames have the most realistic chance of winning the cup this year. Dream on Sens FANS!!!!!

SO THE SENS WIN...BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!

Well, the damn Sens won. What can I say? Ray Emery did a good job but remember the next series will be more tough. So be fore warned Sens fans as this over confidence might have them out next round (god willing).

Anyways, thats my comment for now, I still dispise them, I appreciate all comments but please try be civil when you comment as I am civil as well. Please do not portray any comments that will depict Sens fans as moronic, even if they are!!
