TAKE THAT KOBE!!!

Not only did the Lakers lose game 7 to the Suns on Saturday but today Steve Nash was named MVP of the NBA for the second straight season. Woooooooooo hoooooooo. Steve Nash is amazing, watch out Clippers, and watch out as well damn Spurs!!!
Basketball journalists have named Canadian Steve Nash as the NBA's Most Valuable Player for the second time in as many seasons. The superstar from Victoria, B.C. is just the ninth player in league history to win the honour in consecutive years. The 32-year old point guard for the Phoenix Suns is widely acclaimed for his unselfish play and leadership ability.
He joins legends of the game like Wilt Chamberlain, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson -- the only other point guard to achieve the same feat -- and Michael Jordan.
"I have to admit it's a little bit uncomfortable to be singled out amongst all these great players two years in a row," said Nash at a news conference on Sunday.
"I have to pinch myself, I can't believe that I'm standing here today. I couldn't believe it last year."
However, he jokingly added: "But I'm not gonna give it back."
This season, Nash had career highs in scoring (18.8 points per game), rebounding (4.2), field-goal percentage (.512) and free-throw percentage (a league-leading .921). He also led the NBA in assists with 10.5 per game.
Nash raised his game despite playing without star forward Amare Stoudemire. He lost to an injury.
"A lot is made about me making my teammates better, but I believe that my teammates make me better too. I'm fortunate to play with great players and great people," Nash said.
He won his first MVP award last season after he directed the Suns to an NBA-best 62 victories.
Nash sparked a brilliant turnaround in Phoenix last season. He took a squad that struggled to a 29-53 record the previous season to a league-best 62-20. The Suns joined the 1979-80 Boston Celtics as the only teams in NBA history to win 60 games after losing 50.
The Suns' season continues. They defeated the L.A. Lakers in seven games, and will play the L.A. Clippers in round two starting Monday in Phoenix.
