KEEP THE FAITH LEAFS NATION!!!!

Although the Leafs pulled out a great win on the road against Philley, they failed to gain any ground on the Devils or Canadians as they both won. The only time I cheer for the Sens they let me down, they suck, they will choke in the play-offs. On another note, the leafs still remain 7 points out of a play-off spot and have 10 games left. 3 straight coming up at home which are for sure must wins, well GO LEAFS GO and Atlanta , Montreal, New Jersey please all LOSE!!!!!!

GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!

YOU GOTTA BE-LEAF LEAFS NATION!!!!!!!!

Well, the Leafs did it, they pulled off the big win that they needed tonight and sit 7 points out of a play-off spot. Their are only 11 games left in the season but it is not over till they are mathmetically eliminated. The leafs have decided to make it tough for them to get into the play-offs and what else is new, they like to do everything this year the HARD way so this is nothing new in terms of being dire times in Leafs Nation but do not worry they will make a comeback and reach the play-offs. Please everyone out their in Leafs Nation, be-leaf because it can be done, first thing first is to take down our rivals in Philley, bring it on Philley because we will be ready!!!!!!!!!
BE-LEAF!!!!!
GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!!!!!

CAN YOU SAY MUST WIN...HOPE THE LEAFS CAN!!!

GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is a must win for the Leafs, even so if they do not win they will still be in the play-off hunt but it would be rather nice for them to win tonight against Jersey.

The instensity they showed at the end of the game last night was good, wish it was their all game long, I hope they come out tonight and all the rest of their 12 games this season and play mad as hell because if they do then just maybe they can sneak into the play-offs, again tonight is a must win. Leafs Nation please still believe in the blue and white, GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!

NEVER GIVE UP LEAFS NATION!!!!

Well, its over, a BIG game done for the leafs and they lost bad. What can I say, basically they were due for a bad game after playing about 5 great games of hockey. I cannot really say I was surprised but I wanted a win. I can pretty much guarantee that we will win on Saturday because they will practice hard tommorow and come out on fire on Saturday.

We actually came out pretty good tonight, we started off well and almost scored in the first few minutes. It was not our night, do not worry Leafs Nation. We will rebound and be back on FIRE. Montreal will not know what hit them, we will score alot on Saturday.

Telly will be amazing like usual on Saturday. To wrap up, basically GO LEAFS GO, we will make the play-offs still, LEAFS NATION...NEVER GIVE UP AND NEVER SURRENDER!!!!!!!!!

GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ONTARIO BUDGET IS GOOD FOR ALL!!!

Well, the budget for Ontario was set out today and I for one like it. Their are no new taxes, alot of spending that is needed by the Liberals. The opponents in Queens Park are saying they should have paid down the debt, but I think the Liberals made a wise choice because their is alot of needs within Ontario and they discussed most of them.

A big plus that I liked was the one million going towards the Scarborough Subway, basically this is good as they know that the TTC is a main priority. TO will remain red in the next election, lastly discussing not paying down the debt, it was not needed as the Liberals have promised to balance the books in the year 2007. I look forward to a year of good spending on behalf of the Ontario Liberal Party.

The Liberal Party Thanks Paul Martin

The Liberal Party – and Canada as a whole – has been fortunate to have as leader a man like Paul Martin, a man whose passion for his country knows no bounds.

Mr. Martin has left an indelible mark on Canadian politics and life, and his contributions will not soon be forgotten.

As Finance Minister, Mr. Martin ushered in an unprecedented era of balanced budgets and led the charge in eliminating the deficit, making Canada deficit-free for the first time in three decades.

He brought in the largest tax reduction in Canadian history – $100 billion over five years, reformed the CPP to secure the future pensions of Canadians for at least the next 75 years, and introduced the National Child Benefit to help children in poverty. These measures, and more, have had an enormous impact on the lives of people across the country.

As Prime Minister, Mr. Martin built on his economic achievements as Finance Minister to maintain strong growth in the Canadian economy, with more jobs and a better business environment for Canadians.

During his tenure, Mr. Martin made important progress on the issues that matter most to Canadians and displayed an unwavering commitment to making life better for people from coast to coast to coast.

Among his minority government’s many major accomplishments are the 10-Year Plan to Strengthen Health Care, which is helping to reduce wait times and improve health care for Canadians across the country, and the New Deal for Cities, which is helping to give cities and communities the resources they need to succeed as Canada’s engines of economic growth.

The Liberal child care plan, including agreements reached with all the provinces, represented a bold step forward in providing better care for our children and supporting Canadian parents.
As well, Mr. Martin worked to ensure clean air, land and water for future generations through his government’s climate change initiatives and ratification of the Kyoto Accord.

Through strong relations with our neighbours around the globe, increased foreign aid, humanitarian activities and support for the less fortunate, Mr. Martin enhanced Canada’s stature and reputation throughout the international community.

As Mr. Martin steps down as Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, he will be remembered for his vision and achievements, but above all else he will be remembered for his love for this country and its people.

23 DONE...BRING ON THE BIG 2-4!!!!

Well, its my birthday today. Let me reflect upon my 23rd year on this planet for a bit. Basically it started off alright and then it finished off kind of bad in my mind. 23 the year it was, started off with the Liberals in power federally and now the darn Conservatives are in charge. That was probably the worst thing that happened in my mind this past year, my Liberal party of Canada was doing alright and in May they survived a vote to bring the government down but did not. However, they did bring the government down in November and my Liberal were removed from power as Canada's leader. All in all this year was pretty cool as I saw a bunch of Jay games and watched some Raptor games. I established with others a youth council in Scarborough that will help keep Scarborough Liberal for years to come.

Lastly, I would like to just say that this year of being 23 was all in all really good and I hope the 24th year on this planet will be great!!!

GO 2-4 GO!!!!!!

Conservatives Refuse to Reject Alberta Two-Tiered Health Proposal

On February 28, 2006 Alberta Premier Ralph Klein unveiled his new Health Policy Framework, a series of health care reforms with all the markings of a two-tiered system. One of the more destructive proposals will allow doctors to practice in both public and private facilities, diverting resources from the publicly-funded health care system while allowing patients to pay for faster access to treatment.

During the election campaign, Prime Minister Stephen Harper promised to defend publicly-funded health care. But now that the Canada Health Act could be in jeopardy, the Prime Minister doesn’t seem to be terribly concerned about protecting Medicare.

“I can only say that the document in Alberta is only a working document,” Mr. Harper told reporters today. “The Government of Canada intends to study the content of that document and I can say that we intend to publish a full response in the future. Firstly, I would like to study that document in depth.”

Health Minister Tony Clement has also refused to reject the report, telling the press that he will “carefully study” the proposals.

The Liberal Party has always staunchly defended a universal public health care system in Canada. We do not need to study in depth the intricacies of a framework that allows a few people to buy their way to the front of the line for treatments while leaving most Canadians out in the cold.

Under the 10-Year Plan to Strengthen Health Care, our government worked hard with the provinces and territories to establish national benchmarks for medical wait times so that all Canadians – no matter where they live or how much money they earn – will share in the benefits of a strengthened health care system.

As Liberals, we will continue to protect our health care system. Any reforms to must respect the Canada Health Act, strengthen the single-payer system and ensure that doctors are not able to opt in and out of the public system.

Will the Prime Minister keep his pledge to the Canadian people to protect our country’s health care system, or will he be true to his base of Canadian Alliance and Reform Party supporters?
Prime Minister Harper, your roots are showing.

A Pride All Canadians can Share

As the Turin Winter Olympic Games come to a close, Opposition leader Bill Graham extends heartfelt congratulations to the Canadian Olympic team as they return home.

“On behalf of all Canadians and of my colleagues in the Liberal caucus, I wish to warmly congratulate all our Canadian athletes, their coaches, and those who supported them throughout the Turin Winter Olympics,” said Mr. Graham.

“All of our athletes have earned the admiration of all Canadians. They have given the best of themselves, in the true spirit of the Olympic Games, and Canada is fortunate to have such ambassadors.”

Mr. Graham also expressed his admiration for those athletes who won medals. “The Canadian team did better at the Turin Olympics than it has done at any Winter Olympic Games in history. The dedication to excellence and fair play of our women and men is something we can all be proud of.”

With a view to the approaching 2010 Vancouver-Whistler Winter Olympic Games approach, Mr. Graham offered the encouragement and support of the Liberal Party of Canada.

“Canada’s athletes can count on our support to ensure that they have the tools they need to once again make us proud, four years from now, when Canada hosts the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.”
