U.S. conservatives told to stay mum on election!!!!!!!

This seems really interesting, it clearly shows that the Republicans in America really do not want to scare off Canadians because they know if they open up there mouths then whatever they say my incriminate the Conservatives and send Canadian voters the real Conservative agenda.

There's an e-mail making the rounds of U.S. conservative groups, warning them not to talk to Canadian journalists before Monday's election for fear of scaring off voters and hurting Stephen Harper's chances.

And while right-wing commentator Paul Weyrich says he didn't actually write it, he agrees with the sentiments. The message, obtained by the New York Observer, says Weyrich received a call from a prominent Tory, Calgary lawyer Gerald Chipeur, who asked him to avoid interviews with Liberal-friendly journalists trying to link Harper with "scary" American groups. "He said the Canadian media, which is trying to save the current Liberal government, has a strategy of calling conservatives in the U.S.A. in the hopes that someone will inadvertently say something that can be hung around the Conservatives," the e-mail reads.

"Canadian voters have been led to believe that American conservatives are scary and if the Conservative party can be linked with us, they perhaps can diminish a Conservative victory."
Weyrich said the e-mail was the product of an overzealous staffer who works for him. Weyrich heads the Free Congress Foundation, a conservative research group. It was apparently widely distributed, he said, adding that he never actually spoke to Chipeur, who did not return phone calls Friday.

Meanwhile, Canadian environmentalist Elizabeth May sent an e-mail to her U.S. counterparts last week urging them to write news releases expressing concern about Harper and send them to journalists north of the border. May, the Sierra Club executive director, told the Globe and Mail that she asked for help out of frustration because there's little media coverage of Harper's position on global warming.

Once more, even though my good friend Mr Yugunter will deny this, it clearly depicts that the Republicans in the states are trying not to entangle themselves with the Conservative party in Canada but to bad George W Harper because the link actually does exist.

Please Canadian voters, on January 23, 2006 please vote Liberals and do not let George W Bushs soon to be best friend become the prime minister of Canada, please take this serious.
