NEW ONLINE TOOL HELPS PARENTS TRACK SHRINKING CLASS SIZES!!!!!!

A new class-size tracker launched today shows parents how class sizes in kindergarten to Grade 3 are shrinking. This is the first time class-by-class data has been collected and published for each of Ontario’s 32,000 kindergarten to Grade 3 classrooms in 4,000 elementary schools.
We are on the side of Ontario families who want greater accountability and transparency in public education.

That’s why we developed the class-size tracker to show parents the progress schools boards are making in reducing class sizes.Halfway through our four-year plan to implement a real cap in 90 per cent of junior kindergarten to Grade 3 classes, 48 per cent have 20 or fewer students. The number of classes with 25 students or more has dropped by half — from 25 to 12 per cent over the past two years.
