HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Well everyone, today is Thanksgiving!!! And of course tommorow is e-day here in Canada, the tme has come for the voters to speak after the leaders have spoken for countless weeks. I personally will be supporting the Liberal party of course and have already advance voted. I truly hope Canadians elect a more greener party to govern in the Liberals and a party who will tackle the tough economic times presently and upcoming. This post will simply outline reasons on why not to vote Conservative tommorow if you really needed anymore.

The following was taken off the comments section off a news media website which echoes my sentiments to a tee!

A few points for those who are considering a vote for Harper:

(a) Conservatives have tried to sell out as many Canadian interests to American companies as they can. Harper tried to sellout our ENTIRE sattelite technology, which we are so proud of, to the United States. It is only after the information leaked and the Canadians made a huge noise, that he decided to back down on the deal.

(b) If it was for Harper, we would be suffering enormous casualties in Iraq. Remember he was the one who also agreed with Bush that there were WMDs in Iraq, citing "proof".

(c) We have the second largest oil reserve in the world. Guess who owns most of the drilling and exploration rights? American oil companies. Yet we are pay more than the US for gasoline. Has he done anything about it, other than offer a 2 cent reduction in the price of gas? Which by the way is an INSULT to us working folk.

(d) Harper AND his cronies have repeatedly LIED to parliment on MANY occasions about the war in Afghanistan. Obviously he cares nothing for our troops as he plays them like pawns.

(e) His recent lie about the Cadman tapes is just the beginning in many more scandals to come. What about the income trust fiasco? He robbed mostly seniors, our parents and grandparents of their savings. Would you stand for that, robbing seniors?

Tory times are tough times.Remember Lyin' Brian.Remember Mike Harris.Dion has a vision. Honesty and Integrity will prevail.Harper bases his campaign on lies and character attacks for a long time. Time to kick his butt to the curb. I have read each parties platform and the Liberals have a much stronger team than the one man show named Stephen Harper.

{x} liberal

Honesty and integrity are far better qualities than attack ads against a person's personality and language skills. Canada is about compassion, inclusiveness and kindness and Dion has best exemplified those Canadian qualities.Canada's leading scientists, Nobel Peace Prize recepients, have endorsed the Green Shift as have top economists.Quebecers are leading the way this time, it is time to say "bye" to Stephen Harper and welcome to Stephane Dion and hopefully Elizabeth May will win too in Nova Scotia.

Let's move Canada towards a positive future with a cleaner environment and a strong economy for the future.Enough of the bullying and lies, let's move on.The final straw was when it was revealed in court Harper lied when he said he did not offer "financial compensation" to the late Chuck Cadman, the independent MP, who voted with his conscience and voted for Paul Martin and not for Stephen Harper. Now Chuck Cadman can rest in peace after speaking from beyond to reveal the lies of the current PM.Time for a positive change in Canada.

Sorry, but my vote won't be going to Mr. Harper. I can't bring myself to support an individual who has spent the majority of this campaign preaching to the converted at tightly controlled rallys, and restricting severely, access to local candidates by the media. It gives insult to the intelligence of the voters. We NEED factual information to make an intelligent choice, and when the Prime Minister attempts to block the dissemination of such information, it should raise suspicions.

I WANT to know the true costs of the Canadian Mission to Afghanistan, what the costs will be associated with Mr. Harper's plans toward emmission controls. "Not very much" isn't an acceptable response, coming from anyone with an economics background. Real leaders have the courage of their convictions to be upfront and forthcoming....not hiding behind scripted and tightly controlled rallys and questions where the agenda is one of their making.

Harper went forth with this election because the economy was heading south and he wanted a majority. He didn't get is majority which says the Canadian people do not support him. The economy is still going south. Harper is finished. The choice is clear anything but Harper.

DAY 5 OF THE ELECTION CAMPAIGN!!!

This just makes me laugh eh, another day of the 2008 election has gone by and another day that the blasted Conservatives had seemed to run into another scandal. Count them eh, 4 scandals in the span of 5 days, this in my opinion is pretty bad. How can any of the Conservative announcement be taken seriously when they are so embedded in these scandals. As well, the Conservatives have now started to remove items from the bashing Dion website which shows that it should not have been up in the first place. People may think that Harper is innocent here but I for one am convinced that he is not innocent at all and should be taught a lesson when it comes to election day which I might add is October 14th. I for one cannot wait till the next scandal that will be arising within the Conservative campaign...GO LIBERALS GO!!!!!

The latest blunder in the gaffe-prone Harper campaign has cost the Conservatives their communications director. The party moved swiftly Thursday to suspend Ryan Sparrow over a partisan swipe at a dead soldier's dad. Sparrow was disciplined for implying that Jim Davis's criticism of Prime Minister Stephen Harper was politically motivated.
Davis, who lost a son in Afghanistan, had complained that Harper's surprise announcement Wednesday that all Canadian troops will be out of Afghan mission in 2011 was "irresponsible."

He said his son will have died in vain if Canada pulls its troops out of the country before the mission is complete. In an email to a reporter, Sparrow noted that Davis was a supporter of deputy Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff. The inference was that Davis was complaining because he was a Liberal.

Harper spokesman Kory Teneycke said the email was "not appropriate." He said Sparrow had been suspended for the duration of the election campaign and ordered to apologize.
Harper deftly tried to turn the controversy to his favour, saying the suspension demonstrates the high standards of behaviour he demands. "I want to make it very clear that I have set a tone and I have set an expectation for this campaign and as leader, I am going to make sure that that is followed all the way to victory," Harper said.

It's the fourth time in the first five days of the young campaign that Harper has had to deal with controversy:
-After threatening to boycott the leaders debate if Green Leader Elizabeth May was allowed to participate, Harper flip-flopped amid public outrage.
-Harper was forced to apologize for a sophomoric Tory website ad showing a bird pooping on Liberal Leader Stephane Dion.
-The Conservatives were forced to admit that a Halifax candidate resigned after it was learned she had a criminal record.
The Liberals jumped on the latest controversy, saying a series of "flip-flops, gaffes and misinformed attacks" have left Harper's campaign in disarray.

DAY 4 OF THE ELECTION CAMPAIGN!!!

Its day 4 of the 2008 election and the Conservatives continue to flip flop on issues right left and center. Well, the NDP and Conservatives both had flip flopped on the Elizabeth May issue on if she should be allowed into the leaders debate. At first the Cons and NDP had said nope and now have negated on there response and flip flopped due to the public outcry. This clearly shows that Cons should not be in power in the next parliament and should be told this on October 14th, please do not Conservative in the next election and vote for the Liberals. The Liberals green shift plan would work well and a comment made on the CTV board illustrates this point well on why you should give your support to the Liberals in the coming election. I will copy and paste exactly what was said right below and stay tuned to my blog for day by day news on election 2008 and GO LIBERALS GO!!!!

A bit of tax now or a HECK of a lot later!Uhh newsflash ... We're pretty much already in a recession and Harper has no buffer because he spent until the cupboards were bare (his intent). He cut the wrong tax (if he had cut income taxes instead then people like J.C. would have a bit more room in his budget). The GST cuts don't do anything to help people save money on essentials like groceries - they tend to better help the well-to-do when they're buying higher-priced luxury items.I am educated and was unemployed for a duration after the tech/bust and 9/11 and thankfully I was able to take advantage of the government support system at the time. I am definitely glad that I had been paying taxes and paying into the EI program all those years before. Most of us don't realize until much later why we pay all these taxes/premiums here in Canada. If we tax the dirty fuels, then perhaps we'll be able to convince companies to start investing in cleaner technologies since it would be cheaper on their bottom line . Companies like Purolator have been "evaluating" hybrid diesel/electric truck conversions now for 3-4 yrs but still haven't committed to fully retro-fitting their fleet.Yes, we might pay a bit more now to reduce emissions or we can pay a hell of a lot more later for our healthcare and insurance, damage from weather (as Haligonians how they feel) all because of the increased effects of climate change/pollution.

DAY 3 OF THE ELECTION CAMPAIGN!!!

The election campaign continues to move forward with announcements from all the parties vying to lead in the next Parliamentary sitting. The Conservatives not so brilliant idea of cutting excise taxes was overshadowed by Harper having to apologize to the Canadian people for a blunder that his own campaign had done without him supposedly not know, I for one think that he had condoned and approved this particular move regarding the puffin and now like the past 2.5 years since he has been in power is going back on his word. The excise tax reduction in diesel taxes will not be good for the environment so I for one will not be supporting it, I will be supporting the Liberal's idea of the revenue neutral carbon tax idea which will benefit everyone. Stay tuned for tomorrows post on the happenings of the election campaign 2008 and don't forget to visit http://www.thisisdion.ca and take a look at the true real Dion and stop paying attention to stupid tv ads that depict Dion as a bumbling fool, GO LIBERALS GO!!!!!

DAY 2 OF THE ELECTION CAMPAIGN!!!

Well, its now day 2 of the election campaign and the Conservatives continue to play dirty of course. Harper had to even apologize for something that he once condoned but due to a few reporters he had had to make up something along the lines of how he was sorry that this particular thing was on the attack style web-site of the Conservatives. It was quite dispicable, basically it would have a picture of Dion and then a poopin puffin flying by and doing there business on him, quite disgusting and horrible on Harpers part to condone such an act. Thankfully, the Liberals have come up with two awesome web-sites that discuss the real Dion with the url of http://www.thisisdion.ca and an excellent web-site that takes into account the many scandals that have taken place throughtout the tenure of Harper being in power for 2.5 years which has the url of http://www.scandelpedia.ca, I recommend this one quite highly, it is quite informative on the many scandals of this Conservative party, please have a read and feel free to add more content to the web-site, thanks for your time once more and stay tuned for tomorrows update as I discuss more happenings along the campaign trail, VOTE LIBERAL ON OCTOBER 14TH, VOTE FOR THE GREEN SHIFT!!!!!

DAY 1 OF THE ELECTION CAMPAIGN!!!

Well, its day 1 of the election campaign and the blasted Conservative party has already begun to go negative which is expected as I would not trust Harper at all as he continues to break promise after promise. His latest promise of not going negative was broken in a split second. Dion is an intellectual as I have been told many times by different people and like Dion said himself, he does not mind being an underdog and that's exactly what he is right now. Never underestimate Dion as the Liberals shall prevail with a minority government this time around. I shall post every single day leading up to the election day of October 14th so stay tuned. In the upcoming post, I will discuss a horrible piece that the Conservative party has just released in Parkdale where Gerrard Kennedy should win pretty easily!!!!!!

SCREW YOU LOGIC!!!!!

AS the title reads, logic can take a hike because Leafs Nation does not give a damn about logic, all I know is if the Leafs win the next 5 games they will have 90 points. As long as Boston and the damn Caps struggle and get about 1 win in there last games than the Leafs could pull off the unthinkable and make the play-offs, so to all of you who are saying its over and are saying the Leafs have no chance in hell, correction, the Leafs have a very tiny chance which is mathematically at 0.33% that does not even convert to a percentage but do I give a damn, no I do not!!!!!!!!

GO LEAFS GO!!!!!

BELIEVE TILL THE END!!!!!

WE MUST BE-LEAF!!!!
